PURPOSE…
Central Catholic has a dress code to provide the school with its own
unique identity within the community and to serve as a means to instill pride
and unity within the school.
DURING THE SCHOOL DAY BY STUDENTS IN GRADES 6-12:
BOTTOMS: Shorts, skirts or
skorts (must be knee length), pants and Capri’s
COLORS: Khaki or Navy Blue.
NOT ACCEPTABLE: Cargo
pants or cargo shorts, bottoms made of denim material, pants with loops or extra pockets
down the leg, pants that are baggy or have extra wide legs, pants with a
drawstring at the waist. Pants worn off the waist or below the waist will be
subject to disciplinary action.
TOPS: Solid color polo shirts with
collar (long or short sleeve).
Solid color oxford shirts (long or short sleeve).
Central Catholic sweatshirts (no hood) or long sleeve T-shirt purchased
at or approved by the school. An approved dress code shirt with collar must be
worn beneath the sweatshirt or long sleeve T-shirt.
COLOR: Polo - White, Navy, Gray, and Royal Blue
Oxford - White, Light Blue
All shirts must have embroidered GICC on the left chest.
Oversized shirts are not permitted.
NOTES:
• Shirts with collars must be
worn at all times.
• Oxford shirts must be
buttoned to the top two buttons.
• White or Navy turtlenecks may be worn under polo's, oxfords, or
sweatshirts; however, they are to be
tucked in and are not to be worn alone. If worn with a
sweatshirt, a collared polo must also be worn.
• T-Shirts
worn as undershirts
must be white, navy, gray, or royal blue. (They do not
need to
match the color of the Spirit Wear top being worn.)
• T-shirts that have lettering
on them should not be worn as undershirts if the lettering can be seen or seen
through the shirt.
• T-shirts should not be so
large that the sleeves stick out from under the short sleeve polo and oxford
shirts.
• T-shirts should not be so
long that they hang down below the polos or sweatshirts.
• Shirts with tails must be
tucked in at all times.
• Polo shirts must be tucked
in if they exceed the fingertips when arms are at sides.
SHOES: Must be clean and well
kept. Water socks are an example of
unacceptable footwear.
LABELS: All visible labels should be
removed from clothing. Please
be sure that labels are removable
before buying
clothing. Labels will be removed from clothing
at school if necessary.
