ALL STUDENTS

REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS – Friday (Aug. 27) is the last day to drop or add a class. Please turn your forms in by Thursday.

PEP RALLY – Today ………RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL IN THE OLD GYM!!!!

NEW STUDENT LUNCHEON FOR GRADES 7-12 – will be on Thursday. All new students grades 7-12 will be eating lunch in the Media Center during lunch Mods B & C. Bring your lunch from home or the cafeteria and come eat in the library!

SPORTS DRINK SCRIMMAGES - will be held on Thursday, August 26^TH. The volleyball scrimmage will be in the new gym at

4:30 and the football scrimmage will be on the middle field west of the school at 6:00 pm. Please bring a SPORTS DRINK

BOTTLE as your admission to the games.

GICC will host a volleyball scrimmage between UNK and UNO on Friday, August 27^th at 5:30 pm. There is NO CHARGE for this event.

STUDENTS - CAMPUS MINISTRY would like you to come share your thoughts, ideas, and energy with campus ministry! Join us for lunch Mod A today in the campus ministry room across from the old gym. Come for free dessert, just bring your lunch!

HUNTER EDUCATION SAFETY CLASS – The local Hunter Education Instructors will be holding a safety class starting September 20^th. This class is for Youth and Adults and age 11 and above can be tested and certified. If interested in this hunter safety class, you may pick up more information in the office.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Magazine Sales kick-off Drive is on Tuesday, August 31^st. 6^th grade will meet during period 1 in the library and 7^th and 8^th grade during Period 2 in the library. Students should report to class and will be called over the intercom as needed.

HIGH SCHOOL

There will be a boys tennis meeting after school today in Coach Gaver’s room.

The Dance Team will meet today in the new gym during channel 1.

The Cheerleaders will meet today in the old gym during channel 1.

Teachers, please excuse band, dance, and cheer members at 3pm today to prepare for the pep-rally.

Juniors: Please sign up for the PSAT by Wednesday with Mrs. Rempe.

HONOR SOCIETY – forms are available on-line (under Faculty, Mrs. Luther) and in the office. They are due by 3:21 on Sept. 1^st.

HUSKER HARVEST SIGNUP FORMS ARE NOW IN THE OFFICE. ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SHOULD CHECK THEIR SCHEDULES AND SIGNUP TO VOLUNTEER ON THEIR SPECIAL CLASS DAY.

SENIORS

The giant stone heads featured on the Gran Cabeza de Cultura outside Profe Brown-Olsen’s room are called Moai (MOW-I). They are located on Easter Island, Chile. The winner of this week’s Big Cultural Head drawing is ASHLEY VINCENT. She can pick up her prize in the Spanish room.

Senior and Senior Parent Night is Monday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center. All seniors and senior parents need to attend. Bring a copy of your updated resume to the meeting. Important information regarding e-transcripts will be discussed.
