The Good News: They're here! 30 laptops, 6 cameras, two carts, two projectors and wireless routers arrived at West Kearney High School on September 20th. There were some problems with shipping but most have been remedied through GovConnection and the Beaumont Foundation of America. Thanks to the help of Ms. Jarecki, Mrs. Divan, Mr. Smith and Mrs. Eirich, we're off to a good start!
The Bad News: Due to Hurricane Rita, The Beaumont Foundation Offices are closed. We cannot use the laptops until Beaumont confirms our communications. We hope our friends at Beaumont are OK and recovery is speedy.

Students from the C Living Unit are creating Microsoft PowerPoint presentations documenting education and service activities. We are anxious to begin using the new Toshiba laptops. So far we've learned to use the cameras and have taken many photos. We've studied the elements and principles of design, discussed why art is important to us, working in two and three dimensional media and examined art from the past and Art in the 21st Century.
Visit Student Gallery to view a sampling of our artwork.
